Insurance coverage independent of au pair status
Caution: Some insurances refuse to reimburse the au-pair if he/she does not have a valid au-pair status in Germany at the time of the damage. This cannot happen with AU-PAIR24, because the insurance cover of our products is not tied to the au-pair status.
Treatments of previous illnesses are also insured
During your stay in Germany, you are covered for the acute medical treatment of new diseases. In addition, we insure unforeseeable treatments that are attributable to pre-existing illnesses (pre-illness) prior to the commencement of the insurance policy, insofar as the insured event has not yet occurred when the policy was concluded. Special regulations only apply to TBC and tumor diseases, HIV infections and chronic kidney diseases.
True au pair liability insurance
Caution: Some providers of travel insurance call their product au pair insurance, although there is no protection for au pair activities. Our liability insurance covers the au-pair's private liability and professional liability for au-pair activities.

Exact day notice of termination for au pair changes and host family changes
Our au-pair insurance costs are billed monthly. If there is a change of host family or au pair, we will also bill you on a daily basis. You only have to pay for the actual insurance period and do not have to insure a full month. There are no administration fees for the refund.
Outward and return journey insured
Nowadays, many au-pairs travel to Germany by bus for cost reasons. The journey often takes a long time and goes through many countries. In the past, there was usually no insurance cover for countries of transit, as the insurance from their home country was no longer valid and the au pair insurance did not begin until they arrived in Germany.For better protection of au-pairs AU-PAIR24 has extended the insurance coverage. In case of a proper insurance registration of your au-pair, the return journey is included in the insurance. The insurance coverage begins on the day your au-pair leaves their home country. The following applies to the return journey: protection remains in place until you return to your home country. This additional cover applies to all direct outbound and return journeys that do not exceed two days.
