The travel health insurance EXPAT GERMANY was developed for foreigners who come to Germany temporarily. The duration of the insurance is limited to 5 years. This incoming health insurance is recommended e.g. for:

Employees of all nationalities within Europe and worldwide are insurable, provided they are not already insured through employment in Germany.
Insurance cover exists in Germany and within the EU and Schengen states and complies with the regulations of the European Union. The maximum age for taking out insurance is 66 years. Assistance services (e.g. 24-hour emergency number) and worldwide patient legal protection insurance are included.

Information on health data and release from confidentiality
According to the general association of the insurance industry and the federal data protection authorities, insured persons only have to release the insurer from the duty of confidentiality for the case-dependent loss assessment and do not have to sign a general release from confidentiality.
